The rapid evolution of technology and changing industry requirements have created a growing need to complement conventional academic curricula with practical, industry-oriented learning. Equipping students with hands-on experience in emerging technologies is essential to enhance their technical competence, employability and readiness for the workplace.

Addressing this need, C-DAC Patna, successfully conducted an intensive upskilling programme for 35 students of Amity University, Patna, from June22nd to July 31st, 2026. The programme was led by the Cyber Physical Systems Group (CPSG) team of C-DAC Patna, under the guidance of Shri V. Sridharan, Scientist F & HoD (CPSG), along with the dedicated team members of the group.

The programme provided participants with practical exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) through a combination of structured learning, hands-on sessions and project-based activities. The participants developed mini-projects that demonstrated the application of these emerging technologies to practical use cases, enabling them to translate their classroom learning into working solutions.

As part of the programme, Dr. Vivekanand Pandey, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Patna, accompanied by senior academic colleagues, visited the Patliputra campus of C-DAC Patna. During the visit, he interacted with the students and reviewed their mini-projects, appreciating both their efforts and the practical learning imparted through the programme. He also appreciated C-DAC Patna's initiative and the hands-on, industry-oriented approach adopted to enhance the students' technical skills.The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the successful participants, recognising their successful completion and active participation.

Through initiatives such as these, C-DAC Patna continues to strengthen academia-industry engagement by providing students with practical exposure to emerging technologies and helping build a skilled, future-ready workforce.
