C-DAC Kolkata has successfully achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, marking a significant milestone in strengthening institutional information security governance, risk management, and cyber resilience across its operations. This achievement reflects the collective commitment, technical competence, and coordinated efforts of multiple teams and stakeholders. C-DAC Kolkata is proud to be the first C-DAC centre to achieve certification under the latest version of this globally recognized information security standard.
This initiative has been undertaken in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), which mandate the establishment of a robust information security framework across all organizations under its administrative control. The implementation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) was carried out under the strategic leadership and guidance of Dr. Ch. A. S. Murty, CISO, C-DAC, and Scientist G & Centre Head, C-DAC Kolkata, whose vision and direction were instrumental in aligning the ISMS with global best practices and national digital priorities.
The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate was formally handed over to C-DAC Kolkata by Shri Sudeep Shrivastava, Joint Secretary, MeitY, and Shri Arup Datta, Regional Manager, STQC, ERTL (East), Kolkata, on January 9th, 2026, during the Pre-Summit Event of the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, held at Kolkata.
The Information Security Services (ISS) Team of C-DAC Kolkata, comprising Shri Anupam Chanda (NISO), ShriKousik Maiti, ShriAbhijit Chatterjee, ShriAniruddha Datta, ShriShabdik Chakraborty, ShriSanjeev Kumar, ShriDipankar Datta, ShriSandeep Kumar, ShriMirza Alam Begg, and ShriShubhadeep Ghosh, along with a dedicated Information Security Representative (ISR) Team including ShriArgha De, ShriTarun Kanti Ghosh, ShriSourath Mondal, ShriDibyendu Sasmal, ShriSantona Roy, Ms. Aryya Sen, and ShriArun Ghosh, representing all technical and administrative groups, contributed diligently to this initiative. Their sustained efforts covered ISMS documentation, controls mapping, audit facilitation, closure of audit observations, system hardening, security controls implementation, and overall compliance alignment.
The successful certification was further enabled by the valuable cooperation and support of Group Leads, Team Leads, members of the respective groups, and previous Heads involved in the process across C-DAC Kolkata, ensuring organization-wide adoption and effective implementation of ISMS practices.
C-DAC Kolkata also places on record its sincere gratitude to the Deputy CISO, CISG Team, NISO Team, and Director General, C-DAC, Shri Magesh Ethirajan, for their continued guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the certification process.
