Short Courses on Advanced AI

In a major step towards strengthening India's AI readiness in the financial sector, C-DAC Mumbai announced the launch of a suite of nine short courses in Advanced AI at the IndiaAI Pre-Summit event held in Mumbai on November 28th, 2025. These industry-ready AI training courses range from 1-day and 2-day foundational prograrmmes in AI to specialized 3-day, 5-day and 10-day programmes in credit scoring, fraud analytics, AML/KYC automation, GenAI for compliance, customer analytics and MLOps for BFSI.

The courses were unveiled by Shri. Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY&CEO, IndiaAI Mission; Director General, NIC, in the presence of Shri. P. Vasudevan, Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India, Dr. S. D. Sudarsan, Executive Director, C-DAC Bengaluru, Shri. Aditya Kumar Sinha, Executive Director, C-DAC Mumbai, Cmdr. Sandeep Wadhwa, Executive Director (Corporate & Govt. Business), C-DAC, Shri. Jitendra Singh, Centre Head, C-DAC Delhi, Dr. Padmaja Joshi, Scientist G, Dr. C.P. Johnson, Scientist G, and Smt. Veena Tyagi, Scientist G, C-DAC Mumbai, and many other distinguished leaders in technology, governance, and financial innovation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Shri. Abhishek Singh emphasized the role of IndiaAI Mission in enabling sector-wide AI readiness and building a future-ready workforce. He appreciated the initiative of C-DAC Mumbai and encouraged financial institutions to consider these courses for internal capability development. Shri. P. Vasudevan highlighted the importance of responsible AI in regulated environments and appreciated C-DAC's initiative in bridging the capacity gap through hands-on, technical training programmes.

The event was attended by over 200 FinTech professionals, representing banks, NBFCs, payment firms, regulatory bodies, and emerging financial technology companies. The event highlighted the growing necessity for technical AI capacity building, especially in areas such as financial crime detection, lending automation, regulatory compliance, GenAI-driven workflow acceleration, and AI governance.
