ISEA-CISO Leadership Meet 2026

The ISEA-CISO Leadership Meet 2026 was successfully organised on March12th, 2026 at Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Mumbai, bringing together leading cybersecurity professionals, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss emerging cyber threats, governance frameworks, and strategies for strengthening cyber resilience across the digital ecosystem.

The event was jointly organised by C-DAC Mumbai, C-DAC Hyderabad, and BSEunder the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Programme. The meet served as an important platform for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), cybersecurity practitioners, and technology leaders from government, financial institutions, and industry to exchange insights and discuss evolving cybersecurity priorities.

The programme commenced with the inaugural session, where Dr. Ch. A. S. Murty, Scientist G,CISO, ISEA National Coordinator & Centre Head, C-DAC Kolkata, delivered the welcome address and outlined the objectives of the leadership meet.

The event was graced by Shri Avneesh Pandey, Executive Director, SEBI, as the Chief Guest, who highlighted the growing importance of robust cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory preparedness, and collaborative efforts to strengthen trust and resilience in India's digital and financial ecosystems.

The programme was further honoured by the presence of Shri Aditya Kumar Sinha, Executive Director, C-DAC Mumbai, as the Guest of Honour. He highlighted the importance of strengthening cybersecurity capabilities, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and advancing innovation to support a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.Ms. Kamala K., Chief Regulatory Officer, BSE, delivered the special address.She emphasized the importance of strong regulatory frameworks, proactive risk management, and collaborative efforts to strengthen cybersecurity resilience across financial and digital ecosystems.

The keynote address, titled “Cyber Leadership 2026: Risks, Priorities & Resilience,” was delivered by Shri Ramesh Gurram, CISO, BSE, who shared insights on emerging cyber risks, evolving priorities for security leaders, and the importance of building resilient cybersecurity strategies to safeguard critical financial ecosystems.The inaugural session concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Shri Amol Suroshe, ScientistE, C-DAC Mumbai.

Under the theme 'Securing the Digital Financial & Critical Ecosystem', the technical sessions featured expert talks by Shri PhirozeVandrewala, Chief Executive, TechBridge Governance & Strategy Consulting LLP, on 'Securing AI: Governance, Risk, and Responsibility'; Shri Dharmendra Kava, CISO, BlackRock Mutual Fund, on 'Third Party and Supply Chain Security in the AI Era'; and Shri Sunil Kulkarni, CISO, Auxilo, on 'Agentic AI: The Duel of Autonomous Offense and Defence'.

Under the theme 'Cyber Security Operational Resilience in Enterprises 2026', expert sessions were delivered by Dr. S. Upendra Rao, CTO & GM-IT (Retd.), State Bank of India, on 'Architecting Digital Trust in the Automated Era'; Dr. Nareshkumar Harale, Co-Founder & COO, SecurWires, on 'Achieving Cyber Security Resilience in Complex Environments'; and Shri Shashank Bajpai, CISO, Yotta Data Centres, on 'Cyber Resilience in the Age of AI & Cloud'. The sessions were followed by panel discussions with the speakers on the respective themes.

Shri Harmesh Rana, C-DAC Hyderabad, delivered a session explaining the activities carried out under the ISEA-CISO programme.The event concluded with remarks on Secure Digital Governance Solutions by Shri Rajeev Shrivastava, emphasising the need for continued collaboration, knowledge sharing, and leadership engagement to strengthen India's cybersecurity ecosystem.

The ISEA-CISO Leadership Meet 2026 served as an important platform for dialogue, collaboration, and thought leadership aimed at building a secure, resilient, and trusted digital ecosystem for India.
