Promoting Cyber Responsibility and Ethical AI

In observance of Safer Internet Day, C-DAC Mumbai organized a series of impactful awareness and outreach activities aimed at promoting the safe, ethical, and responsible use of the Internet and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

C-DAC Mumbai is aligned under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) initiative of MeitY, Government of India, as a Regional Coordinating Centre (RCC) for cyber awareness activities across multiple states. In this capacity, it plays a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale digital safety and cybersecurity awareness programmes.

C-DAC Mumbai campus witnessed enthusiastic participation from staff members, students, and community representatives, reinforcing the shared responsibility of building a secure digital ecosystem.

Key Highlights of the Celebration

Radio Awareness Programme - A special broadcast emphasized digital safety, responsible online behaviour, and cyber hygiene for the wider community.

Nukkad Natak (Street Play) - A thought-provoking performance highlighted the risks and responsibilities associated with AI usage, effectively engaging students and the public.

Cyber Pledge- Over 100 staff members and Zilla Parishad school students pledged to adopt ethical and safe cyber practices.

AI Safety Workshop - Interactive sessions addressed AI risks, ethical considerations, and best practices for responsible technology usage.

Humanoid Robot Exhibition - An exciting showcase of indigenous AI innovation attracted strong interest and curiosity among young participants.

Online Quiz Competition - More than 90 participants took part in a knowledge-based quiz, reinforcing digital awareness through interactive engagement.

Cyber Awareness Workshop at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) - Extending outreach beyond campus, the workshop promoted AI safety and cyber hygiene among a broader audience.
